Ever notice how owls move? 🦉

Quiet. Patient. Watching everything.

They don’t panic.They don’t flap around making noise trying to convince everybody they’re dangerous.They sit back, observe, and strike when the timing is right.

Sales is a lot like that.

The best techs I’ve ever trained aren’t the loudest guys in the room. They’re the ones paying attention. They notice the pictures on the wall. The way the customer reacts when safety gets brought up. The hesitation in their voice. The stress. The pride they have in their home. The things they WANT but haven’t said out loud yet.

Most salespeople lose because they’re too busy talking.

They walk in trying to “pitch” instead of understand.Trying to force instead of guide.Trying to close instead of listen.

Customers will literally tell you how to sell them if you slow down long enough to hear it.

That’s why emotional buying matters.That’s why asking questions matters.That’s why controlling yourself on the call matters.

Not controlling the customer.Controlling yourself.

An owl doesn’t chase everything in the forest.It waits for the right opportunity.

Be observant.Be intentional.And quit talking yourself out of sales.

Every rose has its thorn. 🌹

Every company does too.

Some have a technician problem.
Some have a leadership problem.
Some have a pricing problem.
Some have a “we got comfortable” problem.

Sometimes the thorn isn’t obvious either. It’s hidden in missed opportunities, weak communication, low average tickets, no process, callbacks, poor follow up, or techs that mean well but just don’t know what they don’t know yet.

That thorn slowly bleeds a company dry.

Here’s the good news… thorns can be removed.
