Unfortunately, some front entry doors provide your home little protection against an intruder. When you need your front door to be sturdy, it may be time to consider replacing your glass door with a door made of hardy wood.

Although some people may adore the look of glass insets in front doors, you may hate the lack of privacy it provides your family. If you’re ready to replace it with a solid wood door, we’re always here to help you find the perfect door for your needs.

Selected hardware can be used to customize the look of your wood door. For instance, brass hinged locksets will give the door a Victorian style (particularly if it comes complete with a skeleton key), while old-fashioned crystal doorknobs create an Art Deco look.

Just because your house or building was originally built with a certain kind of stairs doesn’t mean you have to keep those stairs. A stair contractor can help you figure out other possibilities to give you a different angle or different-sized steps.

When it comes to wooden exterior doors, there are endless styles to choose from. Some of the most popular door styles used in homes today include French Alder, Louver, arched and double arched, and hand-carved doors.

One style option when it comes to wood exterior doors is intentional weather, which provides texture and creates an authentic look. House styles that look good with weathered doors include Tudors, log cabins, and cottages.
