Established in 2005, the Hobby Manufacturers Association (HMA) was formed through the unification of three association within the hobby industry: International Model Hobby Manufacturers Association, Model Railroad Industry Association, and Radio Control Hobby Trade Association. NEW Aircraft Model Kit Release! - Atlantis Models 1/128 scale Lockheed WV-2 Warning Star ( ) – Available Now!

Based on the legendary Lockheed Constellation early warning aircraft, this officially licensed kit captures the unmistakable profile of the WV-2, including its distinctive upper and lower radar radomes. The WV-2 Warning Star served as a flying radar picket for the U.S. Navy, helping maintain an around-the-clock airborne early warning line during the height of the Cold War. Later redesignated the EC-121 in 1962, these aircraft helped pave the way for modern AWACS airborne surveillance aircraft.

This classic kit derives from the original Revell molds in the 1960s. The kit of 57 parts is almost 12” in length when completed. Includes a swivel display base. This is a plastic model kit to be assembled following the detailed instructions and does not include glue or paints.

NEW HO Scale Train Release! – KATO USA 2016 F40PH ONP Christmas Diesel Locomotives – Available Now!

KATO USA announces the arrival of the HO-Scale F40PH locomotives in a colorful Operation North Pole 2016 paint scheme! Operation North Pole (ONP) is a volunteer-based public charity. ONP works with Chicago children’s hospitals, providing a day of fun for families who have a child battling illness. This magical experience features a festive train to the North Pole and the opportunity to meet Santa Claus himself! ONP Metra trains receive special wraps of colorful and festive artwork. This locomotive operates on the Union Pacific Northwest line as a special charter train to spread awareness of Operation North Pole’s mission. KATO USA will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Operation North Pole!

KATO USA has previously made these locomotives in N-Scale but will produce limited qualities of this paint scheme in HO-Scale! This locomotive can go along with upcoming Atlas HO Metra Passenger Cars that have the same ONP 2016 paint scheme.

To understand the significance of the 1966 GT350, you first must know its predecessor, the ’65. Famously driven by Mark Donohue, the 1965 GT350R helped launch one of the most celebrated racing careers of the era and cemented Shelby’s place in performance history. That success put the spotlight on the GT350 name and made the transition into the 1966 model year even more important. While mechanical changes - such as the dash tach and some performance upgrades distinguished the ’66 from the original ’65, it was the expansion of exterior colors and the nuanced use of racing stripes that most visibly defined the ’66 GT350. Finished here in Sapphire Blue with White Stripes, this example captures the bold styling that made the car instantly recognizable on the street and highly sought-after by collectors today.

Like its full-size counterpart, AFX designed its 1966 Shelby GT350’s for speed and stability. It sports the AFX Mega G+ 1.7” long wheelbase chassis, ensuring flawless handling on even the most demanding tracks.

A news release, approved for publication by the Department of Defense. and dated July 3, 1952, stated, "American airpower's latest answer to air invasion, an almost automatic jet warplane armed with radar and rockets to outsmart and outshoot enemy bombers, is now in production." The first U. S. fighting plane to be armed entirely with rockets, the F-94C
carries 24 rockets clustered in a group around its nose, and 24 more in two
auxiliary pods mounted beneath the wings.

This classic kit derives from the original Revell tooling from the 1950s and when completed is 10” in length. Features 2 pilot figures, clear canopy, classic swivel display stand, and landing gear. NEW Helicopter Model Kit Release! – Italeri 1/72 scale HH-53C Super Jolly Green Giant ( #91035) – Available Now!

The HH-53C Jolly Green was developed by Sikorsky as a variant of the heavy helicopter CH-53 Sea Stallion. It entered service with the U.S. Air Force in the late 1960s. It was designed to carry out CSAR “Search and Rescue” missions in combat zones with high operational effectiveness. Compared to the previous version, it was equipped with an aerial refueling probe, additional fuel tanks, reinforced armor, and the option to mount extra defensive armament. Attention was given to improving the radio systems, which had to coordinate operational activities with other supporting aircraft—such as tankers or attack and support helicopters—needed to safely locate downed or missing pilots. Robust, reliable, and featuring long flight endurance, it was widely used during the Vietnam War.

This kit is 11.2” in length with a rotorspan of 10.3” when completed. Includes light gray and clear plastic parts and super waterslide decal sheet for 4 versions. Figures are not included.
