We just finished this custom breakfast nook featuring a built-in storage bench and a custom cushion, giving this family a cozy place to gather for morning coffee, family dinners, homework, or game nights. I love building pieces that aren’t just beautiful—they’re made to be used and enjoyed every day.

We recently wrapped up a flooring job for a local rental after a pipe burst, causing significant flooding throughout the home.

The remediation crew had already removed part of the damaged flooring, and we came in to take care of the rest—finishing the demo, removing baseboards, and getting everything prepped for a fresh start.

From there, we installed brand new laminate flooring throughout and finished it off with new baseboards to give the space a clean, updated look. It’s always rewarding to help bring a home back to life after unexpected damage like this and quickly get the tenants settled back in.

Another basement transformation in the books!

We framed up and finished this space to make a bedroom and closet, creating a comfortable and functional space. This gave the homeowners an additional bedroom but still gave them a lot of room for their kid’s place area. To top it off, we also extended an existing closet to add even more storage—because you can never have too much storage space!

From open basement to a more practical layout, this project really shows how much potential these spaces have.

Last week I put in an egress window! I had the pleasure of partnering up with Heartland Valor Contracting to dig the hole for me. Their son was excited to move into his new room.

Not only does this add natural light and make the room feel completely different, but more importantly, it gives the family peace of mind knowing there’s a safe, code-compliant emergency exit in place.
