We’re proud to announce that our very own Merlin has been named International Door Association Door Technician of the Year! 🎉

Raised in the door and access systems industry, Merlin grew up in the family business and officially joined the team early on. He stepped into a leadership role in 2013, became part owner in 2014, and earned his Automated Access Systems Master Technician certification in 2016 — forming the industry’s first two-generation Master Technician team with his father, Lawrie.

A strong advocate for continuing education, Merlin has helped expand access to technical training in the Pacific Northwest, supporting the growth and certification of industry professionals.

In 2025, he reached another milestone as part of the first duo to hold both Door and Gate Master Technician certifications.

Merlin’s dedication, expertise, and leadership continue to raise the bar for our industry.
