MEET THE OWNER
My name is Nick Schaefer, owner of Pristine Custom Coatings.
I was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but moved to Cave Creek, Arizona when I was just two years old, so Arizona is all I’ve ever really known. Growing up here taught me the value of hard work, honesty, and building relationships that last.
My entrepreneurial journey started in the automotive industry with Pristine Mobile Auto Spa. Over the years, that company grew into one of the Valley’s premier mobile detailing businesses, giving me the opportunity to work on some of the most incredible vehicle collections in Arizona—and even some of the finest collections in the country. Through that experience, I learned that true success comes from paying attention to the details and treating every project like it’s your own.
As much as I loved the automotive world, I wanted to build something that allowed me to transform spaces where people spend time with their families, friends, and hobbies. That’s what led me to start Pristine Custom Coatings.
From day one, my goal was simple: bring the same level of quality, communication, and customer experience that built my detailing business into the garage and home improvement industry. Whether it’s a garage floor coating, custom cabinets, slat walls, overhead storage, lighting, or a complete garage makeover, I want every client to walk into their space and feel proud of it.
Recently, life has been especially rewarding. I welcomed my first daughter, Lyla, into the world and purchased my first home in Desert Hills, Arizona. Becoming a father has given me even more motivation to build something meaningful—not just for my family, but for every client who trusts us with their home.
