🔧 THROWBACK: When teamwork saved the day in Glendale

Some jobs take more than a service truck and a toolbox.

This one required heavy equipment, plenty of manpower, and D.W. Plumbing working side-by-side with the City of Glendale to get the job done. 💪

When the situation got serious, everyone came together with one goal: solve the problem and get things back up and running.

And apparently we did something right… because the job even earned D.W. Plumbing a shout-out on the local news for helping save the day! 📺👏

UPDATE: We are heartbroken to share that an individual found deceased this evening (August 7, 2026) in Chandler has been identified as 78-year-old Michael Chernek.

The AZDPS SAFE Alert issued earlier today has been canceled. The Chandler Police Department will be conducting the death investigation per standard procedure.

Our thoughts are with Michael’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

78-year-old Michael Chernek was last seen on August 7, 2026, around 9:00 AM when he left a residence near S Gilbert and W Warner Roads on foot. Michael is 5'8", 150 pounds, and is bald with brown eyes, wearing unknown clothing. There are concerns for Michael's welfare due to diagnosed medical conditions. Anyone with information on Michael's whereabouts is asked to call Gilbert PD at 480-503-6500 and reference report #26-138929.

Two Phoenix protests are calling attention to ICE activity this week.

On Saturday, demonstrators will gather outside the Home Depot on East Thomas Road to focus on immigration enforcement affecting workers and nearby communities.

On Thursday, organizers will hold morning and afternoon rallies near the Phoenix ICE Field Office focused on immigrant rights and opposition to ICE enforcement.
