My son asked me today about Beethoven. I just about jumped up on a hickory stump and said “boy let me tell you what.” (IYKYK) As a young boy, probably around his age, Bach and Brahms started my love of classical music. But Rachmaninoff cemented it for a lifetime. His Piano Concerto No. 2. Find it. It is incredible. I PROMISE that you have 30 minutes to listen to the whole piece. If nothing else, hear the first minute...and know that it only gets better. I am an unapologetic Romantic, and I love this. Please tell me you’ve heard it.

A new house in Cave Creek. We are the architects and contractors for this one, utilizing the design-build process. This view is from the wash and horse trail to the south. The exterior walls will be made integrally-colored CMU blocks, green to blend with the Palo Verde and ancient ironwood trees on the lot, with accents in beige and charcoal. Deep overhangs will allow the mass wall to deal only with convective heat by providing shade to eliminate the radiant heat gain. Swipe to see some images of the progression of the drawing.

Because when life gives you flour, an egg, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, butter, an oven preheated to 350 degrees, and about ten minutes, you make cookies! All you need is a cookie cutter. Now, we don’t specialize in “cookie cutters,” but we do want to share this one with you.
Tag us with photos of your cookie cutter houses this holiday season, and we’ll do a post of your creations.
