Glenn Leier has been at Wespac for 33 of our 35 years.
This week AZ Big Media recognized him in PTK 2027 as one of Arizona’s general contractors to know.
Glenn spent roughly 32 years in operations, working his way up from estimator to project manager, senior project manager, and eventually Principal and Vice President. Then he did something most 30-year veterans don’t. He stepped out of the role he’d mastered to build what comes next. Today, as our Vice President of Client Strategy & Vision, he leads client strategy, business development, marketing and brand, and the development of Wespac’s next generation of leaders.
Ask him what three decades taught him, and he won’t start with schedules or budgets.
“The most important quality of a leader is empathy. Period.”
He’ll also tell you that the hard seasons pass, and so do the easy ones. Everything is an experience. We’re the ones who label it good or bad, and every one of them has something to teach. His advice: embrace the experience.
As for this recognition, he’ll point to the team. That’s kind of the point.
That mindset is a big part of how Wespac made it 35 years, and why we’re just getting started.
