Before we build anything, we need to get this part right. 📐

We’re back on-site, but today’s work isn’t about installing anything just yet.

It’s about getting the layout right before our crew starts construction.

This backyard transformation will include a 6-foot patio extension, retaining walls, a dedicated artificial turf area for the dogs, stepping stones, and gravel landscaping with planting areas.

But here’s what matters: every feature needs to work together, from the retaining wall that defines the turf area to the irrigation lines running beneath the landscape.

That’s why we’re marking everything out ahead of Monday’s work.

A landscaping project involves more than what happens on-site. 🌿

We’re at Marbil Nursery in Litchfield Park, picking up plants our client personally selected for her new-build landscaping project.

As we work through the installation, these additions will bring more color and variety to the outdoor space.

Our team is also helping with plant transportation, making it easier for our client to coordinate the finishing details of her landscape.

A great travertine installation is all about the details beneath the surface.

Our team is wrapping up this courtyard transformation, installing natural travertine over the existing concrete slab to give the space a refreshed finish without unnecessary demolition.

But the real difference is in the installation.

To create a smoother transition near the driveway, we saw-cut a section of the existing concrete to accommodate the change in elevation.

The finishing process includes carefully sweeping polymeric sand into the joints, removing excess residue, and activating it with water to help stabilize the joints and minimize movement over time.

The result? A beautifully finished travertine courtyard that complements the home’s exterior, with carefully executed transitions and attention to every detail.

Because quality hardscaping isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how it’s installed.
