For our 6th Compassion Campaign stop, Gordon Eadie Landscape & Design is proud to highlight Phoenixville Area Community Services (PACS), an organization working every day to fight food insecurity right here in our community.
Chester County is one of the most affluent counties in Pennsylvania, yet there are still so many individuals and families within our own communities who need support. It’s an important reminder that food insecurity can affect our neighbors regardless of the prosperity we see around us.
PACS serves as a leading resource for food security throughout the greater Phoenixville area, helping individuals and families access healthy, nutritious food during difficult times. Their team is passionate not only about providing food, but also about offering nutritious, health-focused options to the people they serve.
One of the ways they’re doing that is through their own community garden, where fresh food is grown right on site. During our visit, our Gordon Eadie team was able to help clean up the garden and provide fresh mulch around the plants, helping create a healthier growing environment so the garden can continue producing even more fresh food for the community.
Their vision of “community feeding community” is exactly what our Compassion Campaign is all about. We’re honored to support PACS and help shine a light on the incredible work they’re doing for our neighbors in Phoenixville and throughout Chester County.
