I had the pleasure and honor of making a custom retirement gift for Major General Retired Deborah Ashenhurst! She served 37 years in the Army and was Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard while I was in the ONG! She has accomplished so many great things and just retired as the Director of the Ohio Department of Veteran Services. Thank you for your service, ma'am! Go Army!

It's never easy to say goodbye to your furry loved ones. They are members of the family and it can hurt as much to lose a pet as it does to lose a person close to you. I was asked to help make memorial pieces for my brother who just lost one of the sweetest cats I've ever known. I was deeply saddened by the loss, but was happy to help make a headstone for the grave marker. I hope nobody EVER needs to get one of these for their furry friends but if anyone is interested in something like this, just let me know.

I'm excited to share that I recently had the privilege of custom designing and crafting the farewell gifts for the Secretary of the Army and the Deputy Undersecretary of the Army (DUSA). It was such an awesome experience to make custom gifts for each of them that would be extra special to them. The SecArmy likes white wine and is a self-proclaimed foodie so I made a partial live edge wooden charcuterie board, slate charcuterie board, and slate coasters with the SecArmy flag on them. Additionally I made a set of coasters with the Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army (CASA) insignia since the whole gift was their farewell gift to her. The DUSA is a whiskey and bourbon lover so I made a custom etched glass decanter, glass whiskey tumblers, slate coasters, stone whiskey cubes, and an engraved wooden display box. He also received a set of CASA coasters. It was really cool to get to work with the CASA office to plan these very personal gifts for these amazing people. I also made a gift from Susan Green with sassafras wood from our family farm. It has her CASA insignia and a personalized inscription on the back.

I recently made some little wood gifts for this year's CASA conference. Some of the specialized ones are for a few of the Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army (CASA), but I also got to make some for the CG of the 101st as well as a few for the 160th Nightstalkers! Also, a special thanks to the Nashville Chamber of Commerce for all they do to support the Army!
