We love taking spaces that aren’t working and reimagining them into something both beautiful and functional. A better layout changes everything—and bringing that vision to life is what we do best!

⚠️ LOCAL STORY WORTH SHARING — PROTECT YOURSELF & YOUR HOME

Every week we hear another heartbreaking story.
A local family recently paid a “contractor” thousands of dollars… only to watch him disappear without doing the work. No calls. No materials. No progress. Just gone.

Unfortunately, it happens more than people realize.

And this is exactly why we always encourage homeowners to slow down, verify, and protect your investment:

✔️ Ask for references — recent ones, not just friends-of-friends.
✔️ Verify the contractor’s Tennessee license — it takes 30 seconds on the TN State Board of Licensing website.
✔️ Make sure they’re insured.
✔️ Get everything in writing.

We hate seeing good people get taken advantage of.
At TLC Construction & Design, we’re proud to be licensed in the State of Tennessee and to have a long list of happy clients — from bath remodels to full custom builds.

If you ever need help checking a contractor’s license or aren’t sure what to look for, reach out. We’re always glad to point you in the right direction… even if you’re not hiring us.

Your home deserves honest work and real craftsmanship.

We recently had the honor of completing a renovation project at Shell Mountain Cabin, and what a blessing it has been 🤍

This beautiful cottage-style cabin, perched high on Shell Mountain, holds some of the most breathtaking panoramic mountain views you’ll ever see. It’s beautiful, peaceful and it truly feels like a place where you can slow down and see God’s handiwork all around you.

The owners have been such a joy to work with — wonderful clients who share the same heart for integrity and excellence. We battled snow and weather delays along the way, but the Lord is faithful, and we finished strong.

Projects like this remind us that it’s never just about lumber and paint — it’s about stewardship, relationships, and honoring God in the work of our hands.

So grateful for the trust, the partnership, and the opportunity to leave a small piece of our heart on Shell Mountain. 🩵
