Teddy breaks down our inspection process for Section B, starting with the trunk line inspection followed by backfilling and branch work. He coordinated with foreman Carlos about the most efficient approach, and they collaborate to find what works best for the team.

Benching and Pipe Coordination in Commercial Plumbing Layout 🔧🦺

As Teddy explained in the last video, the Jersey Shore project requires to bench areas at five and a half to six feet to prevent collapse.

We discuss how domestic water comes straight in, and we’re bringing pipes through sleeves to the other side. We also cover how we had to adjust our fire line placement based on BIM coordination feedback from SoCo, moving it from its original location to a different area, which required us to remove an unnecessary second sleeve.

Why Plumbers Love Working with Sand 😆💪🏼

Teddy explains why sand is prime material for laying pipes and why plumbers love working with it.

Sand reduces digging, rocks, and labor for the crew, making the job easier for both the guys laying pipe and the excavators operating machines.

However, there is one downside: we have to trench out bigger and bench deeper trenches for safety, since sand walls have a higher tendency to collapse.

Water and Fire Service Installation: Domestic Piping and Infrastructure Setup On our Luxury Condo Project down at the Jersey Shore!

Teddy gives us a breakdown on phase 1 of underground piping. We’re installing water piping for incoming domestic water services and fire services.

Our team is currently working on laying six-inch domestic water lines that will run to the end of the building and pop up for inspection before backfilling. We’re also installing an RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) valve down the line.

On the street side, we’re coordinating with American Water to bring in their service—we’re providing piping inside the building with a capped end, and American Water will break up the asphalt, dig down, and connect to our line five feet out from the building edge. 💪🏼

Underground Plumbing Setup at Jersey Shore High-Rise Condo Complex

Teddy takes us on a tour of the underground stage of a high-end high-rise condo complex project at the Jersey Shore for Contemporary Plumbing & Heating.

He shows us the bulk-ordered plumbing materials stored on the tight job site, including large diameter pipes (10-inch and 12-inch), fittings, and explains how we organize materials for different applications like storm drainage and sanitary/venting systems.

CPH has broken ground at our latest project down the Jersey Shore. Before the finishes, before the framing, before anything you’ll ever see—this is where it all begins.

Underground pipe work being laid out for a luxury build, setting the foundation for everything that comes next. From drainage to water systems, every line has to be precise before it disappears for good.

Most people will only see the final product…
but this is the work that makes it all possible.

Built below grade. Done right the first time.

Honest Bidding and Transparent Pricing in Our Work 🫡

Our approach to bidding jobs is with accuracy and honesty. We commit to providing exactly what’s requested, and if we suggest alternative materials, we explain the benefits upfront—like cost savings—rather than substituting without disclosure. Our philosophy is complete transparency: we tell clients the truth from the start so we never have to worry about remembering false promises.

Quality Workmanship: The Foundation of Success in the Trades And CPH

Ray, dives to into how Contemporary built its reputation on exceptional quality work. He explains that while every project presents challenges, what sets us apart is our ability to solve problems and deliver superior results compared to competitors.

We emphasize that quality workmanship—not just personal relationships—is what earns client trust and leads to future opportunities. When clients see that we consistently deliver excellent work, they keep coming back and bringing us to their next projects.

Nothing about this part is clean or easy.

We’re cutting through slab and digging 3–4 feet down with air hammers and heavy equipment to make room for trench drains that will handle real-world demand.

It’s loud, it’s physical, and it’s the kind of work that never gets seen—but it’s what everything else depends on.

Because in commercial work, you don’t get credit for what’s visible…
you get judged by what’s buried.

Built below grade. Built to last. CP&H 💪🏼
