Beyond the Crate Beyond the Crate is a small organizing business with a keen eye for detail. Ginny Gregory is the "transition goddess".

We are all in transition...clutter to calm ...closets,garages,basements, seasonal clothing change out, holiday/party de-cluttering or prep for overnight guests or general projects gone haywire. When transitions involve active moves: I hire the movers, go room by room and sort items into, "trash,keep donate"...room by room I pack and then box by box I unpack and set up your new home. I will supervi

se the entire move, relocate your utilities and mail...the works!

***Seniors and artists are my speciality...and of course everyone else too! All that is not a "keep" goes with me...out the door. All services are offered with LOVE and NO judgement.

Off this a.m. to give two garden consultations , lunch with my newly arrived daughter and grandson and then to write my over due column for the Chatham County Line.
Tomorrow is filled with two organizing clients (private and commercial)...work=joy!

I am off to face a new day, with excitement to have work in the a.m. hanging pictures and then to have a much needed lunch and afternoon with my sister.

I am facing a huge household evacuation on Friday. My client's house has been empty (with possessions left inside) for two years. My task is to pack things up and get them to the needed agencies. Some thing will go to auction, some saved for their son and much will be for donation.

Back don't fail me now! All the more reason for my Cross Fit training.

As the heat of our real summer slowly begins, i am astounded at how essential it is for me to get up, get going and never miss my Cross Fit. I balance it with my yoga practice. For me,it is the learning to have every moment balance that consumes me. Most of my clients know that living in the moment is the way to be...they are slowly teaching me.

Four baby blue birds off to take in the world soon.
We have loved watching them grow. If all goes well we'll have two most families this year. Take flight and soak in this wonderous day.

Crisp, clean morning. Birds everywhere tweeting the own way...a new job landed to bring some sunlight into a person's life. Life transistions are always easier with someone who cares. I am thrilled to have a chance to work.

Just finished a great job re-organizing and discarding old clothes in a closet. It s always so wonderful to see how thrilled and refreshed clients are after the sort and purge.

A great way to start spring. Out with the old and mindful additions of the new.

I have two new jobs coming up soon.Thrilling! I am packing one person for a move to Galloway Ridge,unpacking and getting the house hold set up, the next job is a bit more artistic...I'll be siting where pottery is set and hanging pictures, the third job involves helping a daughter pack her now past mother's possessions and then helping to get the villa more personally suited for her father. All new transitions in lives.

Tip for the day:
Vacuum pollen and dust form outdoor furniture and screen porches...then wipe with a damp cloth.
Enjoy the bird's song.

Just returned from a great trio to visit my daughter and family. I got the unique opportunity to begin organizing her sewing room(preciously off limits) and their small cabin as well. Isaac turned 5 and partied with 4 friends at a party...low key great fun.
Am home to help my sister get her pottery and pictures in place and tackle moving her art studio.

Tip of the day...bird in house...cover it with fabric and open it up outside.
Generally I don't do birds, but this was an exception as dog was ready for a meal!

Sister is moved, unpacked and ready for me to take a week vacation to visit my daughter and family. It takes a village...friends and family helped make this a 4 day pack, move, unpack event.

Lily the fabulous dog is pacing and settling as is my sister...huge move.
Next hang pictures, and exterior art and then on to moving the art studio.
Whew!!!
I am off to a resource fair at Galloway Ridge.
Enjoy this glorious fall weather.

Today out of the house with the pups early, checked out a client with a garage full of packed boxes(3 years there)...made a plan of attack, set a date to begin and then spent sometime with Vimala, my friend of more than 25 years...I ate her fabulously delicious,we talked, walked together to just be in this wonderful weather and then home to sit for a spell before putting more thought into my sister's move. Pack day is Thursday and Move day is Friday. Very sad and very real!

Up early, off to church, Target shopping and home to garden and water.
Tip of the day...take a drawer at a time to empty, sort, wipe down all things and then restore to a ready to use state.

Today was a "walk the puppies "day. I am back on this toasty morning, getting the inside of my house comfortable...dishes put away, clothes all washed and put away, bed changed. Tip of the day...do it when you see it.

Shoes under the coffee table from last night moving watching?
See them...take them to the closet.
Do it when you see it!
