Captured in action — a Statnamic load test on a test pile for the Long Bridge South Project. This advanced testing method helps verify the capacity of deep foundations by applying a powerful load in just a fraction of a second, delivering results far more efficiently than traditional static testing. Equipped with sensors to measure acceleration, displacement, and strain, the system gives engineers real-time insight into how the pile and surrounding soils perform under pressure. The data collected plays a key role in confirming design assumptions and verifying the foundation is ready for full-scale construction.

The conversation continues this week for the Trench Safety Stand-Down, June 15-19, for another opportunity to strengthen the safety practices that protect our teams on every jobsite.

Paving the way through Greenfield!

Crews were hard at work on Bigelow Street for a local gas company mill-and-pave project, placing the wearing lift over the binder course already installed. Seen on the left, the tack truck prepped the roadway for paving, while the paving operation rolled ahead on the right.

Just another day of teamwork, coordination, and smooth moves on the streets of Pittsburgh.
