Lebanon Church Road at Curry Road & Broughton Road will begin nighttime turn paving operations starting Monday, May 18, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Please expect traffic delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Be patient and stay alert for construction crews, equipment, and traffic control flaggers working throughout the night.

2026 Southpointe Construction Company Meeting at South Hills Country Club.

Today was more than just a company meeting — it was a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come and where we’re headed as a team. From the field crews to the office staff, every single person plays a role in the success of Southpointe Construction.

Yesterday we had the honor of recognizing Salvador Cardenas for 10 years of service with Southpointe Construction Services.

Salvador was the very first employee I hired when I started the company back in 2016. At that time, I was brand new to the business, learning as I went, and we had just landed our very first job with Golden Triangle Construction on a PennDOT project in Claysville along I-70.

I’ll never forget Sal and I working the night shift together supporting the mill and pave crew. From day one, he showed commitment, toughness, and pride in his work. Over the last 10 years, he has helped build the foundation of this company and has played a major role in our growth and success.

Salvador is not only an awesome employee, but also a great leader, dependable teammate, and someone our entire company respects.

Thank you for 10 years of loyalty, hard work, and dedication to Southpointe. We truly appreciate everything you’ve done for this company and look forward to many more years ahead.

The Department of Public Works announced today that it has granted a permit to Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania to close McKees Rocks Road between Heckel Road and Lincoln Avenue in Kennedy Township. The closure will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 22 and is expected to last at least one week. It is required for an emergency gas line replacement.

Traffic will be detoured using Chartiers Avenue, Broadway Avenue, Pine Hollow Road, and Heckel Road.

Public Works is not involved with this project and is providing this information as a public service announcement only.
