North Hills civil engineering / land surveying firm is looking for a full time entry level field surveyor to work with a crew chief on property sites. Prefer person with survey experience, but willing to train the right individual. Typical projects for this field position entail the following:
-Topography
-Construction layout
-Property staking
-ALTA surveys, etc.
-Residential and Commercial projects
-Usage of survey equipment

Applicant must be organized, on time, have reliable transportation and willing to work 8 hour days with opportunity for overtime available during busy times. No traveling overnights! Experience with Robotic instruments preferred, GPS a plus. Job advancement opportunities available!

Position is a 40 hour work week with opportunity for overtime in our busy times. Compensation range is dependent upon experience. No overnight travel required. Thinking of adding a pool? Deck? New garage? One very important step BEFORE finalizing your perfect addition is to get an accurate survey with a plan drawn for your municipality. You'll want to call to book far in ahead as most reputable licensed surveyors are booked out 3-4 weeks in advance in the summer.

Contemplating it for next year? Have the survey done over the winter when things are slower. Then you'll be ready to roll when its time to build, without having the frustration of waiting!

Make sure to measure everything to make sure you are far enough off your property lines per your local code! Its easy to adjust a plan on paper, but expensive to change once built!
