These are some amazing boys!! They are gentle, can sit and are so good when other dogs are near. They have to have a family missing them. Please keep sharing!

Here’s an update on our handsome red lab. He was actually found between new Canton and Rockport with a brindle pit. However, they couldn’t catch the brindle pit. Here’s some better pictures. He is not lame in anyway he’s a good sweet dog. If he’s yours, please give us a call.

UPDATE: He’s home safe with his family!

This dog was found in Rockport and a good citizen, didn’t want to leave him on the road with his brindle pit sibling. In this picture, he’s just sleeping. He is not injured in any way if any anyone knows who this dog belongs to. Please give me a call at 217-285-3240 or comment on this post.

These two boys were found out in an abandoned shed on Zebulon Pike road in Rockport. They have been there 4 days. They are now at the shelter. Please contact us at 217-285-4811

At this time, Pike County Animal Shelter is currently on an intake freeze due to the overwhelming number of stray animals and kittens we have taken in over the last week. Our shelter is currently at capacity, and we want to ensure the animals already in our care receive the attention and resources they need.

If you have kittens or an animal you are needing to surrender, we ask that you please call the shelter and get placed on our intake waiting list.

We understand emergencies happen, and we appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and support while we work through this influx of animals.
