Mark and Rob, decorating the Berkshire Bradley Christmas tree! You can see our tree, and so many others, at the Berkshire Museum's Festival of Trees: Barn to be Wild, which is being held at Hancock Shaker Village, November 21st - December 28th, 11-4pm.

(Note Berkshire Museum is closed for renovations, thus the alternate location for this longstanding Berkshire Holiday event!)

One of our favorite projects, we will be featuring this residential redevelopment this fall on our social media. The photos, taken in autumn, are stunning and highlight the design features of this home really well.

This property was originally part of a large estate that was broken up and sold as three separate parcels. The parcel was home to a large pole barn. The lower floor was an open barn, while the upper level (accessible by bridge) was a very rustic and outdated seasonal apartment. The new owners hired Berkshire Design, Inc. & Cromwell Builders to transform the pole barn into a year round single family residence with a detached garage and guest suite. Dormers were added on one side, and a primary suite and screened porch were added to the other side. The cupola was restored, the entry was renovated to include a covering and revamped bridge, and landscaping pulled the property together.

In June Kerry Bartini attended AIA 24 in Washington DC. One of the most inspiring moments was when the firm of Quinn Evans received the AIA Firm Award. The members of the firm seated in the audience stood up and gave the leaders on the stage a standing ovation. They were so excited to receive this honor. Another inspiring moment was a tour of DC Central Kitchen’s new headquarters, a non profit that empowers healthy communities.
