🌿 Meet one of nature’s pest controllers!

Check out this awesome praying mantis one of our technicians spotted while out on a job! 👀

Praying mantises are beneficial predators that help keep insect populations in check. They’ll happily snack on flies, moths, beetles, crickets, grasshoppers, and plenty of other insects they can catch.

And did you know they aren’t always green? Praying mantises can range from bright green to tan, brown, gray, and even pinkish or reddish shades, depending on the species and life stage. Their coloring provides excellent camouflage, helping them blend into leaves, grasses, bark, and other vegetation while they wait for their next meal.

This little guy may look intimidating up close, but he’s one pest-control helper we’re happy to have around! 🌱🪲

Koby Kicks Ants — but we’ll let the mantis help with the rest. 😉

🐛➡️🦋 watch me transform!

Check out this little guy we found the other day! This is a Two-Tailed Swallowtail caterpillar, and believe it or not, it will eventually transform into one of the largest swallowtail butterflies in western North America!

These caterpillars love to munch on trees like ash and chokecherry. And they have a pretty cool trick up their sleeve—when threatened, they can pop out a pair of bright, horn-like organs called osmeteria that give off an unpleasant smell to help scare away predators. 😳

After plenty of eating and growing, this little caterpillar will form a chrysalis and eventually emerge as a beautiful yellow-and-black butterfly with a wingspan that can reach nearly 5 inches! 🦋

Pretty incredible what this little guy will turn into!

🦉 Have you ever seen an owl box?

It’s exactly what it sounds like—a giant birdhouse designed to give owls a safe place to nest!

Why would you want owls on your property? Rodent control, the natural way. 🐭 Owls are incredible hunters and can consume thousands of rodents each year, helping keep populations of mice, rats, gophers, and other pests under control.

Owl boxes are especially well-suited for properties with acreage and can be a great addition to your rodent-control strategy.

🦉 Give an owl a home—and put nature to work on your property!
