Ya never know what yr gonna get into when redoing 100 year old doors. This one has a transom up inside of it. That they just covered up a while back. But left the 100 yr old door in.
Lets see how this turns out!
And the back door as well. Different issues. But still stuff u can’t see when looking at the door in these old houses.

Couple doors we was able to through in today. All brand new Slider and trim. New back full glass door and new storm door. All finished up and they work and look great!! Not to mention we had a great view of the lake all day long. Which makes it even better for a work atmosphere! 😊🔨🪚❤️🙏🏼

Just framed this porch up the past week for a great couple! Absolutely love what I fo when we get to work for folks like these folks! Makes it all worth it! The home owner is gonna finish the rest if this porch job with the trim part and paint. But with the rain being all maybe’s last week and the twins this week. We pulled through and finished it up today. Water and rain tight and ready for the whole house to get its new roof also!! This was a challange with 2 valleys going into each other. So we had to make one massive cricket to make sure the water will shed off the room and not into the house. EVER!! 2 guys with patience can pull anything off! If ya don’t beleive me. Just watch the ones that never stop!! # # # # #

After almost 2 month, me and my Guy Shawn. Fininished up on this huge Trex deck re-build we did for Summit Builders out of GreenCastle. Whinwe dinsome work for time to time! Great company! I’m here to tell ya this one was a lot of work. Kicked my butt, thats for sure! But look at the pay off. It Beautiful!! Lots if patience working with the composite tricks decking materials. This particular day has pretty much all the bells and whistles. The screen for underneath. Has a protective ceiling above the vinyl soffit that’s called a rain scape that made by Trex. Which keeps the water from coming in to the screen porch and funnels into a gutter system and then out of the porch. This this Deck also has what they call screenez on it for the screen porch. Which is basically you make your own size shape panels as big as you want, and it comes with the frame to make that with, and then you put the screen into it with a decorative piece that covers it and also tightens it up. So like I said, this one came with just about all the bells and whistles that you can get with a track deck. For the cost. Lots of work. Hot work. Some delays here and there. But in the end of the job, we gotta finish and I think it looks beautiful. Customers weren’t home when we left, so I’m not sure how they feel about it but as of yesterday they loved it. Not a fan of this material. As we live in The Four Seasons state so it’s built on Lumber, which moves no matter what. So there is maintenance to this product and it’s very expensive. So you must have these pockets if you’re gonna wanna do a deck out of this composite material. No matter the brand. But special things to Chris at some of the builders, giving us opportunity to redo this deck for these great folks. I’ve known Chris from Summit builders for almost 30 years now. And he brings me quite a bit of work throughout the year if we can get to it. And a big shout out to my boy that works with me Shawn that showed up every day no matter how hot it was and worked his butt off. Even though this particular material is extremely hot. When it’s hot. But extremely cold and slippery when it’s cold. So there’s ups and downs to this material just like there is any other material. But like I said, at the end of the day, it turned out beautiful. And now they can sit in three separate sections and enjoy the outside world how they want to. Something very special about this job was there was a Doe that lived in the area that had a baby. This particular area was close to center town but just safe enough that she knew that she could just cruise around in that area with her baby and be perfectly fine and they’re also was a school nearby. So every day we got to meet her and her little one when we got to work. Nature bring special things. And that was a good thing to see every morning as we got the bus in our butt to get this job done for these folks so they can enjoy it before winter gets here.! ❤️👍🏼☺️🫰🏼🪚🔨

The big deck we have been working on. Yet again we had to pull off of.
So I do my thing and get on my grind and find us work. Blessed this year to have folks waiting in us ad we have been very busy this year.
Speaking of busy, a lot of decks. So why not throw this one in to keep us working. We can’t be sitting around for another job to get finished and a week!? Really. Contractors! We I am a contractor, I just am a working contractor. Not a pay check, sit in the office kind!
But anyways, had this deck in my back pocket for a back up plain and they had been waiting. So ✔️ this one off the list. And I have plenty of back pocket work. But all in all, they wanted it replaced like it was. But with y style and some hand railing head to the front door. 4 days on this job. With quality work! Hard to find that these days!! But happy homeowners! Which give me the best fealing. Great folks to work for and we got work in this week. Instead if someone holding us back because their job wasn’t ready yet! I do what I do seriously. So when we don’t have work or something comes up or we have to pull off. I get on my grind and go find us work whether it’s just for myself or for me and Shawn both. And when you get our work, you get quality and you can get quick work at the same time. I always tell my customers you can get two of three things. Cheap and fast. But no quality. Or you can get it with quality and get it done fast, but it ain’t gonna be cheap. So pick your poison. All in all I’m really pleased with this job and how it turned out. And once again we stamped our name on another town here in Indiana of doing another Deck. My body hurts like crazy because of my age, but I still love what I do. 😉✌🏼🔨🪚

Couple smaller jobs we got to get off the list this week. Waiting on Materials on the another job. So we need to stay busy. But we are also covered up. But still taking in work. It was good to get these folks jibs dine for them. As they have been waiting on us to have some freed up time to get to them. Work this year has been a blessing for sure. Lots if it and fokks willing to wait for us to be able to get to them! Just love that. The patience. to wait for what u want! Promise it will pay off. A*o with out the good lord above. I wouldn’t be as blessed as I am with work! Just wish he would make me young and stronger again! Lol 🤣. But he guves me opportunities, so I fo my best to take those and make the best of whats around!
