Finished up this combination install and refinish this week. Added wood to the living room, with a walnut border, and refinished the rest of the house. Tried some new sandpaper on my Phoenix, can’t wait to use it more once it’s in stock! All finished with flex sealer and CeramicStar to give these homeowners many years of use.

Been slacking on posting completed projects lately. Been a super busy summer/fall with family events and such. Did a complete removal and replacement of these floors in Red Wing in late August. The existing wood floors were too thin and damaged to refinish, so replacement was the best choice. Finished with again with Loba Invisible. Once this portion of the house was done, they decided to have me back out in January to do the same in the bedrooms.

Finished up this big project today. Multi phase in order to keep the restaurant open for B&B Bowling and Restaurant. Refinished the main dining room last week, then switched over to the bar room this week, refinishing the floor and the foot rest at the bar, including adding a new protective metal strip on the front edge.

A few firsts on this project for me. I tested out a new sanding machine from and it was the first floor I’ve used finish products from start to finish. This random width white ash floor has seen 10 years of hard daily use, it’s now finished with a system from Berger that I believe will hold up to the abuse it sees. Stained with ExpressStain in Early American, then sealed with ExoBloc, to help with salt contamination, then top coated with 2 coats of Berger CermicStar in satin. This was one floor that really used all the tools in my arsenal to get it back to like new condition.

Been so busy lately I’m behind on posting pictures of some of my latest transformations. This was a week ago in Wabasha, pulled the carpet off these 1.5” oak floors to find a couple needed repairs, and some seriously gummy old finish. Very thankful for the Diamabrush on my buffer! Originally the homeowners were going to have my stain the floor a medium brown color, but after seeing the sample area sanded, they opted to go the Invisible route!
