Making a playhouse for my grandkids. I decided to make a geo-dome playhouse. It is about 16 feet in diameter. It is based on a design by Paul Robinson from the UK. He calls his design the “Unity Dome.” It is one of the easiest geo-domes to make because It uses only 60 triangles and all the triangles are the same size. Once completed, I will put foam pads on the floor and and some swings and a slide. Hopefully it will be done soon.

This is a round 43” diameter dinette table with a pedestal base that I am currently working on in the shop. It is made from Knoty Alder. Still some sanding and finishing left to do. Not sure rather to go with a light finish or something dark. A natural finish would be light and a golden color. Any Ideas? But if all goes well it will be on Etsy for sell by the end of the week.

I made this little side table using a power carver to carve the base and pedestal. It was the first time I used a power carver to make a piece of furniture. It is made from walnut and eucalyptus woods. I enjoyed using to power carver but it made a big mess in the shop.

My wife has said in the past to me that I have made legacy pieces for other people, but I have never made one for her or our family. So, this year I made a coffee table for our home and surprised her at Christmas. It is made from spalted pecan, and I made the top and sides by cutting the pecan up like subway tile then I epoxied all the piece together. Then I finished it in a pure Rubio Monocoat. I made this little side table earlier this year. It is made from walnut and eucalyptus. The top is 15" and it stands about 25" tall. The base and support were hand carved. First piece that I ever made in which I used a power carver. Makes a great side table.
