On a screw-down metal roof, the rubber washer under each screw fails years before the panel does.

That washer is what keeps water out of the hole, and the sun dries it out. With binoculars from the yard, look along a row of screws. One sitting crooked, backed out, or missing its washer is a leak that has not started yet.

Swapping screws is a repair. It does not take a new roof.

Next time it rains, go look at the ground where your downspouts let out.

Dark, sandy grit there is granules coming off your shingles. A sprinkle is normal, more so on a newer roof. A pile that comes back after every rain means the shingles are wearing through their top layer, and that is worth a look before it shows up on a ceiling.
