I just wanted to touch base since it's been awhile since I have posted anything. I hope that everyone is doing ok with the pandemic and the rapid decline of our economy. I know that lots of families have been suffering and for those, I pray that you somehow find inner piece! At the present time, I am unable to get any aluminum patio cover materials and haven't been able to get any for months. What I have gotten is 3 or 4 notices in the mail informing me of prices increaes. 16 of my 32 gutter colors have been temporarily suspended due to the lack of aluminum. Vinyl siding has become difficult to obtain as well. I am currently waiting on white j-channel and trim coil for 4 different vinyl jobs and all I'm being told is that it will be here at the end of this month or the end of next month. We are still open for business and willing to do whatever we have to do to survive. We are still giving estimates, however, I am not giving patio cover quotes since I have several on the books months and no timetable in site to obtain materials. Any quote given now would not be any good by the time materials are available anyway. We continue to hope that things will return to normal one day and we can resume our normal operations as well. For those that are waiting on us, we really appreciate you and hope to get your materials soon. We would like to issue a heartfelt apology and hope to return to normal soon. Joe Passantino

I am entertaining the idea of expanding JPEnterprises. I am taking applications for enthusiastic young men and women wanting to learn how to properly install siding, gutters, patio covers, and screen enclosures. A little advice before the storms hit! If you have an aluminum patio cover and you can figure out a way to tie it down, I would advise you to do so. Especially if you live in a open area such as as Tenant Rd, back of Choctaw, or White Castle in the cane fields. If possible, tie it down in a similar fashion as you would a house trailer. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to clean your gutters out as well, this will allow proper water flow during extended rains. The same would be true of your patio cover gutters as water is very heavy. Ever pick up a gallon of milk or water? Quite heavy isn't it? Now, just imagine if you get 1000 gallons on top of your patio cover. It will collapse when this happens? It's been awhile since I posted about JPEnterprises, so I wanted to put a few things out there. Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, I am having a very difficult time obtaining materials. It has been virtually impossible to get screen doors that I use on my screen enclosures. Unfortunately, I have customers that have been waiting for months and I still don't have any definite answer as to when I will get them. To those that have been waiting, I just want you to know that your patience is greatly appreciated. Another issue is the heat. We are in the hottest time of the year and it too slows down our progress. I encourage customers to call during the spring and fall months as we are better able to keep up with the pace. Also, I want to give you a view from my side of the fence. I receive approximately 10- 20 phone calls a day and if I answer all of them it extends my time in the heat and puts me further behind schedule. I ask people to leave a voicemail or perhaps a text message that I can respond to at a later time. I know that it is aggravating to call someone and get no answer and in some cases it may take a few days to get back in touch. At this time of year, we are at our peak and unfortunately, so is the temperature. If I don't answer and don't call you back, it doesn't mean that I don't want your business or I don't like you. I assure you that it is nothing personal. It simply means that I am very busy and it is impossible to keep up. We do the best we can, but 3 guys pushing 60 years old can only do so much. We are slowly beginning to resume normal working operations. While we do have a considerable amount of work on the books, we welcome all bids. Hope everyone has remained safe during the pandemic. We are doing a few things to maintain the safety of our crew and your families as well. We sanitize the trucks daily, don't ride together, make as few stops as possible, and practice social distancing whenever possible.
