Layers and layers of light. I remember going to my grandmas house, it’s one of my earliest memories. Whether is was in Lindon, Bear lake, or down on the Navajo Rez.

Our childhood homes hold a lot of memories. Christmas. Holiday dinners. BBQs. Summer parties. Running through the sprinklers.

Every once and awhile a really special project comes along for the client and our team. This home was the owners great grandmothers and we are fortunate to help them transform it back to its former glory with a mid-century modern twist. Seeing his eyes light up really made me think of our family’s heritage homes.

🧾🖊 Let's talk about the difference between an estimate and a quote.

On a previous post we talked about how we can estimate the cost of your project without seeing your space. An estimate is an approximate calculation that your project may cost, or in other words, we'll give you a ballpark price. In the post below we used a ballpark price of 75k-100k for a basement renovation.

A quote is a signed document between you and Valdek that describes in detail the scope of work and total fixed cost of the project. The good news that the total cost of the project will fall within the ballpark estimate, so no surprises! 🥳
