Drain Cleaning Service Technician Job

Thank You for considering the position we have available for a Drain Cleaning Service Technician. This is a full time position that requires knowledge, dedication and a desire to be the best. S/he has a minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience as a Drain Cleaner. Continued learning in the trade is definitely an asset. You have to be efficient, able to diagnose problems and make the necessary repairs to give our customers peace of mind. You are hard working and driven to succeed. She/he must have a friendly and warm personality and be able to work with others. The Drain Cleaning Service Technician will understand sewer line and septic systems, sewer cleaning and jetting, be familiar with underground drainage and water piping and know how to use a sewer inspection camera.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Knowledge/Operating drain cleaning machines
• Knowledge/Operate hydro Jetting equipment
• Knowledge/Operate Sewer inspection equipment
• Provide excellent customer service
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in your company issued service vehicle
• Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatcher to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer
• Obtain customer authorization/signature for payment (or financing) at completion of job
• Meet or exceed performance minimum standards
-Keep records of work assignments
-Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
-Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, or caulking.
-Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.

Qualifications and Skills
-2+ years of drain cleaning experience
-Has a clean, friendly and professional appearance
-Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
-Valid Driver's License
-Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 75 pounds
-Punctual

The Plumbing Service Technician is responsible for Installing, maintaining, and repair pipes and fixtures associated with plumbing, water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial structures. Inspects drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.
