John started roofing in August of 1989. He knew nothing about the business but he had a baby on the way and was willing to learn. He learned the business from a dear friend and then decided he wanted to be a business owner and his own boss, so, in May of 1996 he started Shelby Roofing.
John has had a lot of different workers helping him through out the years but one thing has remained constant, he performs every estimate and guarantees his workmanship! You’ll see in the pictures different workers from the years to ones that are with him today. He sometimes even does jobs with the friend that helped him decide to make this job his career!
John prides himself on working Monday-Friday to make sure your job is done in a quick and reasonable time frame. He has chosen after years of working Sunday-Saturday that a great work life balance is to take Saturday’s and Sunday’s off to be with friends and family. John is a family man, you will not only see his workers who became family in these pictures but also his wife and kids (yes those pups are his kids too!) In his free time John enjoys hunting, fishing, and enjoying time with friends/family (whether it be out on a boat, at a sports game or up the mountains).
