Here’s a couple shots from the tight quarters we had yesterday in Argos, with a leaking waterline we had to juggle some scheduling around for a first of week job ex*****on after being reached out to on Friday.

This job was an approximate 40ft bore from the main to the meter pit at a depth of 4ft to keep this service below our frost levels in the winter months!

Karter & Tristan proceeded on to a bore job for Indiana Earth in SouthBend after completing this shot, leaving the hookup, water usability verification, and restoration upto us on site.

Here’s a little sewer line bore we did last week in Mishawaka along the St.Joe river. This bore was for a local septic / sewer company, at a distance of 130ft we got right down to a depth of 10ft and stayed there clearing the 3 teir retaining wall and entered our catch pit at 32”.

We wrapped up the demo we were on yesterday and jumped right into getting our Case 220 mobilized to a concrete haul off at Maax bath! We utilized a smaller 20yd dumpster and our semi end dump to get started in on that yesterday evening and we’re here wrapping up now! We’ve got another crew assisting a farm in Argos with our vac trailer this morning aswell!

Did you know Hunter Transit started as a trucking company?

More than 30 years ago, Dad and Mom (Dan & Tara) were fortunate enough to purchase two Mack trucks and end dump trailers early in their marriage. What started with those two trucks eventually grew into a fleet of five before they made the decision to pursue another dream—excavation.

Along the way, Dad developed a reputation for professionalism and took great pride in every truck he owned. He eventually got into showing his over-the-road truck, Simply Sharp, and that’s where today’s story comes full circle.

With a busy week ahead, Karter and I talked about the truck show on Monday. By Tuesday, our 379 was fired up for the first time in 15 months since moving to our new location.

Even then, work came first—the way it always has.

Friday was spent cleaning trucks from start of day right up until it was time to leave. Surrounded by so many fellow drivers and trucking enthusiasts, it wasn’t until the pictures were taken that I realized every one of us was smiling. We weren’t just looking at trucks—we were looking at the history that built our family and our business.

Thirty-plus years later, the trucks may look different, but the values they were built on haven’t changed.

At Hunter Transit, “We’re Right on the Money” isn’t just a slogan—it’s the standard we hold ourselves to. Whether we’re hauling, boring, excavating, or completing utility work, our goal is simple: when we wrap up a project, we want you, your family, your team, and your community to be proud of the work we left behind.

A huge thank you goes to my mom, Tara, for being the rock behind our family and our business. And thank you to Katie and Miley for making all the trips to get everything we needed throughout the day. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

To everyone who stopped by, shared stories, and supported us at the show—thank you. We appreciate every conversation and every handshake. Here’s to honoring where we started while continuing to build what’s next.

I featured a couple pictures of ‘Simply Sharp’ as she was.
