I have never seen a sunflower head wrap around like this before. The only reason it got harvested was because the sunflower stalk broke and it was laying on the ground.

This monster is what feeds my spaghetti squash plant. The plant now has a spread of over 40' by 25'. That's ONE plant. (Thumb for size comparison)

For those curious minds, this plant is growing out of a compost pile that has had hundreds of layers of grass and other nitrogen rich compost on this spot for many years. All those nutrients were just sitting in the soil waiting to be used. I have never fertilized this plant or treated it with anything other than sunshine, hose water and rain.

Thus far this year it has produced around eighteen 5lbs spaghetti squash. There are roughly 10+ more still growing currently.

I can't wait to see what my pumpkin plants produce. 🤣
