As part of our Late Summer Community Day on August 29th, we will be hosting a special Japanese Drumming Performance & Workshop with Mujin Taiko at Innisfree Garden!

Enjoy an energetic taiko performance at 11 AM, followed by a hands-on workshop where participants can learn basic rhythms and try their hand at playing. The workshop space is limited, and participants must register for either the 11:20 or 11:40 time slot.

Thanks in part to a generous grant from the Northeast Dutchess Fund of , discounted tickets are available for residents of participating Northeast Dutchess County communities with proof of residency.

Community Specialist – Voorheesville, NY

The Community Specialist supports Cornell Cooperative Extension of Albany County educational programs, primarily helping community members navigate the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) application and eligibility processes. This role is well suited for someone who is patient, compassionate, organized, and comfortable working with vulnerable people who may be experiencing difficult circumstances.

With the recent food safety issues, many of you have been asking where your food is coming from!
We label the origin of every item in our Farm Stand! If it has a yellow sign with our logo- we grew it here in Guilderland. If it is a green sign it is locally grown on another local farm. White signs are on items that are grown outside of our local area and we designate the country of origin. Check it out next time you are in!

There’s still time to join the Innisfree Explorers Series for Curious Kids!

On Friday afternoons in August, children and their grown-ups are invited to explore Innisfree through hands-on activities, guided walks, close observation, and plenty of time to ask questions and discover something new.

Coming up next:

Session 3: Plants and the Five Senses

Slow down and experience the garden in a whole new way. Kids will explore scent, color, texture, sound, and taste through playful activities including scratching and sniffing aromatic leaves and bark, comparing plant textures, making simple nature sound shakers, and sampling plant-inspired drinks.

Recommended for children ages 6–10. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is limited to just 12 children, so advance sign-up is encouraged.
