POV: You’re removing trees and the Amtrak Downeaster decides to make a guest appearance. 🚂

Not a bad backdrop for a day’s work.

We spend a lot of time looking up at trees, but every now and then something cool catches our eye at ground level too. Today’s visitor was the Downeaster rolling right past the job site.

You never know what you’ll see when you work outside in Maine. Thanks to the Town of Freeport for having us! 🌲

We really were all over the map last week! This week we are keeping it local! 🌲

You’ll find the crew in Poland removing several ash trees impacted by the emerald ash borer. As the pest continues moving inland, more homeowners are facing difficult decisions about declining ash trees.

We’re on the map…many places! There’s a good chance you’ll see one of our trucks somewhere this week. 😅

We’ll be bouncing around Standish, Cumberland, Freeport, and Mechanic Falls keeping the crew busy and the saws running. Some days it feels like we spend as much time on the road as we do in the trees, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

🌳🐿️ Not every tree needs to disappear completely.

Sometimes a remaining trunk or large limb can become an opportunity for something fun. Birdhouses, feeders, signs, fairy gardens, flags and other creative touches can turn an old tree into a conversation piece that keeps adding character to a yard.

A tree may stop growing, but that doesn’t mean it stops being part of the landscape. 🌳✨

➡️ Storm clean up is kind of our thing!

A large oak stub that had been trimmed several years ago by another company finally gave way when the roots rotted out and landed on a family’s home.

Our crew carefully removed it without causing any additional damage. We can honestly say we’ve cut up a lot of trees over the years, but this was our first time cutting one up in someone’s living room!

This week we’re headed to Norway and Oxford for residential tree work, plus a commercial job at Camp Kohut.

And we can’t forget about the giant oak we’ll be tackling for the Town of Freeport soon. That one’s definitely going to keep things interesting. 💪🌳
