I think we’re watching a pretty major shift in the way people think about their homes.

People still care about beautiful materials and great design, but they don’t want their house to become another job.

They want to spend their time doing the things they actually enjoy.

That’s why I think synthetics are becoming such a big part of the conversation. If we can give someone the look, the detail, and the performance they want while taking a lot of the maintenance out of the equation, that’s real value.

The profile is everything.

When you look at a beautiful architectural detail, the definition, proportion, and finish are what make it work. So why would we want that to change five years later?

Our goal is to create details that hold their character over time. The color, the profile, and the integrity of the material are built for longevity.

That doesn’t mean you never have to touch it. You still have to clean your house. 😂 But it does mean you’re not signing yourself up for constant maintenance just to keep the architecture looking the way it was designed.

That’s a big part of why I love what we do. We get to create the details that make a home special, and we get to build them to last.

You can get the look of natural timber without having to live with all the maintenance that comes with it.

For this home, we built every piece specifically for the project and used a dark wood finish to create that contrast against the white stone.

The result has the warmth and character you're looking for, but it's built to handle the environment.

That's a combination we really like.

We don’t just build buildings. We shape the world people live in.

Architects draw up the vision. Builders bring it to life. Subcontractors, craftsmen, and everyone involved in the process come together to assemble something that didn’t exist before.

That’s something we should all be proud of. Every trade has a part in shaping how people live, work, and experience the spaces around them. The work matters, and the craft matters.

This collaboration was absolutely killer.

These are the kinds of projects we love being a part of. The builder trusted us, everyone involved brought their expertise to the table, and we all worked toward the same goal: making something great.

For this home, we used custom brackets and columns to bring that character into the architecture and give the exterior the look we were after.

Every piece was made specifically for this home, so the proportions, scale, and design work with the house instead of against it.

Sometimes a few well-designed details can completely change how a home feels.

This is what happens when someone really knows how to work with details.

For this project, the designer paired our tongue-and-groove ceiling with five different types of custom molding, and somehow every piece works together without competing.

That’s the part we love about custom work. It’s not always about adding more. It’s about choosing the right details, getting the proportions right, and making everything feel like it belongs together.

A home feels different when all the details are speaking the same language.

This project is a great example of how our products can be used throughout an entire home to create a cohesive look without making every detail feel the same.

Here, we used custom brackets and soffit ceiling systems to bring a clean, modern architectural language to the exterior. Every piece was designed specifically for this home, from the proportions to the configurations, so everything works together as one complete design.

That's one of the things we love about custom. You aren't limited to what comes off a shelf.

What gets me excited about coming to work isn’t the next sale or the next number on the balance sheet.

It’s what’s next.

What are we going to figure out? What can we make better? What can we create that we haven’t done before?

That’s what keeps me going after 25 years. I’m still excited to walk through the door and see what we’re working on today.

There's just something about a warm wood tone in an outdoor space.
