Around here, people love the idea of “Amish-built.” There’s just something about it that feels solid, reliable… like it’s going to last.
But what a lot of people don’t realize is that you don’t have to go anywhere to get that kind of quality.
Dan, the owner of Dutchman Builder, LLC, was raised Amish (yes, really). He didn’t learn his trade from a class or pick it up along the way… it was part of how he grew up, and it shaped the way he approaches every single project.
As he built a life outside of that community, he didn’t leave those standards behind. He actually took things even further and became an NHLA certified, highly sought after lumber inspector, which means he understands wood on a level most builders simply don’t. He knows what’s going to hold up over time, what’s going to shift, and what should never be used in the first place.
Now he’s built his business right here in Pompton Lakes, NJ, bringing that same level of care and precision into every deck, every shed, and every small addition he takes on. It’s not about rushing through jobs or doing the bare minimum… or using a big crew to get it done… it’s about building something the right way, so you’re not dealing with problems a few years down the line.
This is the time of year when people start thinking about being outside again, and every year his schedule fills up faster than expected.
If you’ve been thinking about adding a deck, upgrading your space, or finally building something you’ve been putting off, it’s worth having a conversation sooner rather than later. Our complimentary estimate request form is linked in the comments.
