What You’ll Do:
✅ Enforce safety rules and MIOSHA compliance
✅ Conduct inspections, investigations, and training
✅ Maintain safety equipment and order materials
✅ Oversee subcontractor safety and site operations
✅ Gather and analyze safety data for improvement
✅ Build strong safety relationships with employees & clients

What We’re Looking For:
Two-year degree in a related field OR 3+ years equivalent experience
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
A passion for keeping people safe and operations running smoothly

Directional Drill Operators and Locators with CDL wanted!

About Us: At Kaltz we are a leader in underground utility construction. With a commitment to safety, quality, and innovation, we take pride in delivering exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking skilled Directional Drill Operators and Locators with a CDL to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview: We are looking for experienced Directional Drill Operators and Locators to manage and execute drilling projects efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in directional drilling, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. A valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
-Operate directional drilling equipment and machinery to install underground utilities.

-Conduct accurate locates and mapping of existing utilities using advanced locating equipment.

-Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment.

-Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

-Maintain clear and accurate documentation of job progress and any issues encountered.

-Safely transport equipment and materials to and from job sites using CDL vehicle.

Qualifications:
-Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record.

-Proven experience operating directional drills and performing utility locates.

-Strong knowledge of directional drilling techniques and equipment.

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.

-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

-Ability to perform physical tasks and work in varying weather conditions.

-Relevant certifications and training are a plus.
