37 Locust Lane has quickly become one of my favorite projects we’ve ever done. From the house plans to the bedding, all the way down to the yellow mailbox that perfectly matches the front door, every detail was chosen with love.
Designing this home for Sherry Whitehead Russell has truly been a dream come true for Jason and me. The last few weeks have been filled with long 13-hour days, but every late night and every ounce of hard work has been worth it to see how happy she is.
This is why I love what I do—creating homes that make people feel peaceful, comfortable, and proud every time they walk through the front door.
A huge thank you to my biggest supporter and partner, Jason Whitehead. Without him, so many of my ideas would never become reality, and none of the heavy lifting would get done. I’m so grateful to do this alongside you.
To our kids—Lennon, Landon, and Emma—thank you for sacrificing so much while we’ve poured ourselves into this project. Even though you barely saw us these past few weeks, you jumped right in to help by digging holes, caulking, painting, spreading mulch, and putting together furniture. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Thank you to all of our amazing subcontractors for your hard work and dedication, and a special welcome to the newest member of the MDC team, Collins. We’re so thankful to have each of you.
And finally, Sherry—we love you! Congratulations on your retirement. It has been such an honor to help create a home that’s a reflection of you. We hope it brings you years of happiness, comfort, and beautiful memories. Enjoy every minute—you’ve earned it. 💛
