Spotted πŸ‘€ another map I worked on at the City of Olympia, installed at LBA Woods Park! πŸ“πŸŒ² πŸ₯Ύ

I was at the park with my daughter and was pleasantly surprised to see this project came to completion with the hard work of Sarah Giannoble and Anna Uyeda after I left my position as senior designer and brand manager. It was a project that probably took two years start to finish with lots of thoughtful contemplation. This was definitely a team effort as it was the first stylized trail map for City parks integrating vector art, GIS mapping, accessible wayfinding, and interpretive sign elements. And, the first trail map of LBA woods! Now you can find your way! 🧭

Take a closer look at it, installed at trailheads around the park, and soon to be installed in a larger kiosk by the playground area.

I just love making maps and I’m grateful for all I learned in my time at the City about making accurate and visually appealing maps. Geography and map making has been a long time interest of mine and it was so cool to work with planners and GIS staff to make projects like these come to life.
