For the first time since 1942 the light on the Port Austin Reef Lighthouse is on and working!! The history of the lighthouse is remarkable and to see it completely restored is unbelievable!! A BIG thank you to the Port Austin Reef Lighthouse Association for all of their hard work and vision!! Thank you for choosing us to handle re-powering the lighthouse!! It has been a great project to work on and it has meant a lot to us to use our talents to assist with powering it back up!!

A side note the white light plus 5 red signaled the mariners that this was the Port Austin Reef Light

We would like to announce that Reid Zimmerman son of Matt and Jena Zimmerman has completed FF I/II Hazmat Ops. Reid will carry on the tradition as a 4th generation firefighter!! Great Job Reid!!

I would like to THANK everyone that voted for the Tribune Reader Choice Awards. I do appreciate everyone voting for me personally but the truth is I am apart of a large team. Everyday the men and women at Zimmerman & Sons Electric get up to make the world a brighter place!! Their talents is what makes ZSE special. They work day, night, weekends to ensure that our customers needs are met. The other special part of ZSE is our loyal customers that have supported us over the last 40+ years. So while I am honored, the fact is I am fortunate to be apart of great team that keeps people first and works to improve the quality of service we provide.
