The Mountains beyond and Sea below is a constant here!
Even if the trees may grow.

In Washington our trees grow faster than many people could possibly beleive.
But this long standing view tells the story.

All those dark towers have already been previously topped. We're talking, about 20 years ago...
And look how strong and healthy they still stand.

Great for maintaining your foundational integrity.

And thats what we truly LOVE about Washington!

Re topping for incredible established views is an exciting process.
And often to establish a view- it doesn't even require a tree to be fully removed.

Just a considerable trim in this situation.

(There is also a pretty fantastic and well known volcano 🌋 hiding behind the clouds there... )
We want to see that Mountain!!

Strong winds are expected in Western Washington today, including the Kitsap County area, with gusts that may cause falling branches, scattered power outages, and difficult travel conditions. The expected hours of impact are between 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Please consider a few precautions:

• Secure loose outdoor items
• Avoid parking under trees of power lines
• Be cautious driving high-profile vehicles
• Use caution on local waters

We've had calls with trees on homes and RV wreckage.
We see these gusts clocked in at 60+ mph last night.

Our "Bomb Cyclone" Hit Last Night 💣

We were thankfully not blown away here in mid Kitsap- but many of you have been hit hard!

We have received calls since midnight last night.
Calls about minor breakage and damages. A s well as spotting trees and debris down on many of the roads.
Please remember, saftey is our first priority!

🥵 🥶 It’s pretty hard to believe that 2-1/2 weeks ago it was in the 80s, with smoke everywhere and multiple new fires starting. I hope you enjoyed your two weeks of Autumn, because winter is coming. First, we have an atmospheric river to get through. The steady rain should begin on the coast tomorrow around mid day and reach the puget sound by the late afternoon and evening. This rain will continue through much of Friday and cause many rivers to rise causing some to reach flood stage. Keep an eye out for warnings regarding your river if you live near one. Winds will increase throughout Friday, headlines will likely be issued for some areas.

Then, some truly winter like temperatures are expected even for the lowlands starting Sunday into next week as an arctic airmass will be on our doorstep. Some of that arctic air is expected to modify and seep into western Washington. East of the Cascades will likely see much colder temperatures as per normal. There is even a slight chance of seeing snowflakes in some parts of the lowlands! Where? How much? How cold? It’s too early to answer those questions in any detail as the models are still sorting things out. Now would be a good time protect any cold sensitive vegetation, put away your garden hoses, etc. We will post in more detail soon.
