Two people. Two wish lists. One kitchen.
You don't have to agree on everything before you start a remodel. That's part of what we're here for.
She wants: Cozy & Inviting
He wants: Function & Ease
They get: Warm wood tones and comfortable seating to make the kitchen feel cozy, with smart interior storage that makes everyday life easier—from roll-out trays and a pull-out trash can to built-in utensil and knife storage, all chosen around how they actually use the kitchen.
She wants: An open feel with a wall of windows
He wants: Wall cabinets for storage
They get: One large picture window to bring in the light, with glass-front cabinets on either side so the cabinets don't feel like a solid wall. We also added storage under the island overhang to make up for the cabinet space lost to the larger window.
She wants: A place to display her dishes & treasures
He wants: “Don't make me dust that.” 😂
They get: A built-in hutch with glass doors and interior lighting—so she gets to display the things she loves, while the glass keeps the dust off.
She wants: Friends to congregate in the kitchen
He wants: “Don't get in my way while I'm cooking.”
They get: A big island with wide walkways around it, giving everyone room to gather without crowding the cooking area. And the wine and beverage fridge is tucked into the hutch, so guests can grab what they need without walking into the cook's workspace.
Tell us what you each want, and we'll help bring those ideas together into a kitchen that feels cohesive, functional, and like it belongs to both of you.
You don't have to agree. You just have to start the conversation.
