We sure do love working on the old homes in Downtown Beaufort — this one was built in 1872 ❤️

We recently had the opportunity to bring this porch and stairway back to life with new TimberTech composite decking. We removed the original 2¼” TG boards, carefully lifted the porch roof, and reframed the joists to 12” on center to give it a stronger, longer-lasting foundation. From there, we installed the new decking with hidden fasteners and plugs for a clean, seamless finish.

We were proud to salvage and reuse the original handrails and pickets to preserve that historic charm, added a new set of stringers, and finished it all off with a fresh coat of paint.

Honoring 1872 craftsmanship — built to last for many more years to come.

Not only do we work inside—sometimes we venture outside!

Two 100+ year-old homes in the Old Point, downtown Beaufort, got some well-deserved TLC. New steps, rebuilt stairs, updated fencing, replaced lattice with hog panels, and custom details to match original treads. Finished with a custom flat block and plaque to honor the home’s history. Built to last another 100 years 👊

We took it from demo to lift—raising the entire structure into the air—then poured a tabby concrete patio, secured it with new fasteners, added fresh base capitals, and finished it all off with a thorough pressure wash and complete repaint.
