The sweet corn bin is now full of watermelon! Stop in and grab a few for the weekend. Just picked some sweet cantaloupe and a friend has some juicy pears on the table. Sunflowers and flowers will be in the cooler this afternoon. Enjoy these beautiful days everyone!

It's time for the summer self-serve market under the pavilion at the nursery. Right now I have pickling cucumbers and flowers. The flowers will be in the black cooler (help yourself and take the jar if you need it.) There are bags on the table. I should have some fresh basil tomorrow. Sweet corn is coming soon but we need some rain! Enjoy your weekend everyone!

The color of the sky today matches this beautiful borage flower! If you have never grown borage, you should definitely try it. The honey bees will thank you! I also have successfully grown Cardoon for the first time this year. I can't wait to see what this plant does by the end of the summer. I have just 3 extra plants so if you want to try one come and get it. Herbs I have left are: dill, smokey fennel, borage, lovage,locate, celery, lemon grass, basil, sage, cilantro, clary Sage, santolina, chives, and thyme. I'll be at the nursery today until 5:30.

I have a little plant nook set up at Miss Margaret's Vintage Dress Sale this weekend. Stop and see all of the unique and amazing pieces she has curated! Another beautiful planting weekend! Lots of flowers are being planted today in the field. Can't wait for the beauty that will follow. Aren't different foliages so fun? And just like that....June is here! Hope you are loving this beautiful weather! Today's Plant Feature is a perennial that is an old one but a reliable garden favorite. Hot pink is not normally a color I gravitate towards but I love Rose Campion. The silvery foliage is a cool contrast and it blends well with lime and maroon foliage. It will re-seed for you but it's very manageable. I also have a related perennial called Maltese Cross. It has a bright red flower and is a very long lived clumping perennial. I'll be open at the nursery today until 5:30. My daughter also has a small plant stand at the Midway Market today. Hope to see you soon!
