🎓🔨 AND THAT’S A WRAP ON CAREERS IN CONSTRUCTION WEEK! ⚡

What. A. Week. ❤️

These students didn’t sit in a classroom hearing about the skilled trades… they got their hands on them.

HVAC. Electrical. Plumbing. Carpentry. Painting. Insulation. Tiling. 💪

They learned about checking accounts, savings, bills, credit cards and credit scores. They went through mock interviews and learned the do’s, the don’ts and the ABSOLUTELY NOTs 😂 of getting hired.

And then came GRADUATION. 🎓

Every student walked away with a Certificate of Completion, a brand-new tool bag filled with tools, a PAYCHECK and an experience they’ll carry with them long after this week.

But my favorite part?

Some walked out WITH JOBS.
Others walked out WITH INTERVIEWS SCHEDULED.
And every single one walked out knowing there are real, successful career paths available in the skilled trades.

THAT is what this program is about.

It’s not just four days of trying different trades. It’s exposure. Opportunity. Confidence. Connections. And sometimes, it’s the beginning of an entirely new future.

⚡ AApex Electric is incredibly proud to support the Blue Collar Big Dollar Foundation and the work it’s doing to grow our skilled workforce.

We can talk about the skilled labor shortage all day long…or we can roll up our sleeves and DO something about it.

At AApex Electric, the skilled trades are more than our business. They’re our future, and that’s why we’re proud to support the TCBA Blue Collar Big Dollar Charitable Foundation. ⚡🔨

🎸 Blue Collar Big Dollar CONCERT
Cool cars. Live music. Dinner. The Elliott Museum. And a GREAT cause.

Every dollar raised supports skilled trades education and advocacy right here on the Treasure Coast, including Careers in Construction Week, where young adults ages 18–30 get paid to spend a week trying more than 10 different trades, receive tools and a tool bag, learn directly from local employers and finish the week at a job fair.

These programs are also reaching students in our local high schools and showing them that a career in the trades can be a VERY good career.

We don’t just need to talk about the skilled workforce shortage. We need to help build the workforce.

So come hang out with us, rock out to Three O’Clock Storm, check out the incredible cars at the Elliott Museum, have dinner and support the next generation of electricians, plumbers, welders, builders and skilled tradespeople.
