Tonight, Safe Clean Experts made the TOP 3 for Best Carpet & Rug Cleaning Business. 🏆

Did we take home 1st place? Nope.

And while I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who voted for us and proud that we were recognized, tonight also reminded me of something much bigger:

We are SO much more than a carpet cleaning company.

Carpet cleaning may be one of the services we provide, but it doesn’t begin to define who we are or what we’ve built.

We are a team of hardworking, trained professionals. We’re IICRC certified. We provide specialized floor care, tile & grout cleaning, upholstery cleaning, VCT Strip, Buff Wax, janitorial services, commercial cleaning, post-construction cleaning, emergency response services, and so much more.

We’ve grown into a company trusted with commercial facilities, county and government work, HOAs, schools, and emergency situations where people need a company they can depend on.

THAT is what I’m proud of.

An award in one category doesn’t measure the expertise of my technicians. It doesn’t measure the relationships we’ve built. It doesn’t measure the trust our clients place in us. And it certainly doesn’t measure how far this company has come.

So tonight, I’m not disappointed.

I’m proud.

Proud of my team.
Proud of our growth.
Proud of our reputation.
Proud of the professionals and organizations who trust us.
And incredibly proud of what Safe Clean Experts has become.

With opening day right around the corner and construction still happening throughout the campus, there is an incredible amount of work left to accomplish — and not a whole lot of time to do it.
That’s why St. Lucie Public Schools called Safe Clean Experts to jump in and help with the final push.

And there was only one answer: LET’S GET TO WORK. 💪

Safe Clean Experts Owner Elizabeth walked the site, assessed what needed to be done, put together a game plan, and within days, our crew was on-site and working. And WORKING is an understatement.

🚨 Large Water Damage Assessment – Local Theater 🚨

We were on-site this week at a local theater evaluating a water loss caused by a fire sprinkler discharge.

After a detailed inspection — including thermal imaging — it became clear that moisture was still present well beyond what’s visible on the surface, including within the concrete and structural areas.

Situations like this are a good reminder:

Water damage isn’t always what it looks like at first glance.
If moisture isn’t fully addressed, it can remain hidden and lead to:
❌ Ongoing structural issues
❌ Microbial growth
❌ Costly repairs down the line

For this project, we developed a Category 3 corrective mitigation plan to properly extract, clean, dry, and treat the affected areas in accordance with industry standards.

At Safe Clean Experts, we focus on doing it the right way the first time:

✔️ Following IICRC standards

As promised — here’s what this job REALLY looked like behind the scenes. 👇

These images are from a FLIR thermal camera inspection — something we use on every water damage job.

Thermal imaging detects temperature differences in materials, allowing us to find hidden moisture that you can’t see with the naked eye.

Those dark purple areas you’re seeing?
That’s active moisture saturation — water that has spread far beyond what’s visible.

And this is exactly how water damage turns into bigger problems:

💧 Moisture travels further than you think
🧱 Walls and framing begin absorbing water
🦠 Mold can start before you ever see it

This was part of a Category 3 sewage loss, so missing this kind of hidden damage isn’t just a mistake — it’s a serious health risk.

That’s why we use:

✔️ Verified drying (not guesswork)

Because if it’s not fully dried… it’s not fixed.

🚨 NOT ALL WATER DAMAGE IS THE SAME 🚨

This was a Category 3 sewage loss in a hoarder environment… and it was one of the worst we’ve handled.

We’re not talking about clean water — this is contaminated, hazardous, and dangerous to your health.

Now add in:
🧱 Heavy contents throughout the home
🦠 Sewage contamination spreading through everything
⚠️ Limited access + extreme conditions

This wasn’t just a cleanup… this was a full-scale hazard situation.

To give you an idea of the severity — this job required TWO 30-yard dumpsters.
