After mom and dad split, I spent every summer in New Haven, Conn with my Aunt Libby, uncle Robby and my 2 cousins Sharon and Janis. I was the son my uncle always wanted. I went to work with him and he taught me the trade. Uncle Robby was a Master Electrician contracting almost 600 1 family houses in Orange and Derby Conn and 100 6 family houses in the 60's. Although my own dad tried being the best
dad he could be, at age 14 I quit school because I knew it all. Uncle Robby was the best He took me in and I worked full time for him and went to night school to get my journeymen's License. At 16 he let me get my License. His dad had lent me $1600 and I purchased a fire engine red 1964 Chevy Impala SS. It a 283 engine, but compared to the rich kids, it just wasn't enough. Hooking up with the kids on the other side of the tracks, Jann dressed me collagen but I was a Brooklyn boy. Every weekend, I'd dress up in my plaid pants, cashmere sweater and my penny loafers and head over to my buddies place and we'd work on our cars.
