It’s not very often I paint the trim on an exterior before the siding. In this case the trim was installed first, so I’m getting a finish on it while Tradewind Builders gets a head start installing the siding. I panted a sample of the finish on the siding installed so far to see how the end result will look. A very classical look. Sherwin Williams Creamy(7012) Latitude Satin on the trim, and Sherwin Williams Classic Yellow(2865) Latitude Flat on the siding.

A gloriously sunny day for painting exterior soffits and fascia boards for a new construction home being built by Tradewind Builders in Port Townsend. Sherwin Williams Latitude acrylic latex, satin finish.

Another winter exterior via the magic of Latitude acrylic latex and Preprite Problock latex primer. I primed and finish coated these soffits, fascia, and trim boards on a new construction project in Chimacum for Blue Earth Builders.

I take on limited exterior work during the winter months when conditions allow. This is a recent ADU addition in Port Townsend built by Kruse Builders.

The existing, weathered wood siding was carefully prepped and coated with Sherwin Williams Peel Bonding Primer, then finish coated along with the new Hardie Board siding using Sherwin Williams Latitude acrylic latex, formulated for cooler temperatures and damp conditions.

The goal was a durable finish that blends naturally with the main house while respecting the realities of winter work on the Olympic Peninsula.
