This time of year i get alot of messages asking what is the best soil to plant a potted fig tree.
The answer is very easy.You buy the best.You buy bags of my premium potting mix.

I start with 2 yards of mixed premium topsoil and decomposing compost from a Long Island farm.
I add in potting mix,pine bark chips,mulch,vermiculite,perlite and finally sprinkle in mycorrhizae.
This is a very well draining mix that will give your tree the nutrients it needs and the added beneficial bacteria to let your trees thrive.This is a living mix not just something to hold your tree in the pot.
