We’re looking for a creative, reliable person to help capture and create content for Portland Paints. This is a flexible, event and project based role for someone who enjoys photography, videography, and social media. You do not need to be a professional, but experience as a hobby photographer/videographer and confidence creating content is important.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Attending select events in Portland and surrounding areas
* Taking photos and videos during event setup, classes, and behind the scenes moments
* Capturing engaging content for social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
* Editing videos/photos into short form social content (Reels, TikToks, recap videos, promotional clips)
* Helping create visually engaging content that fits Portland Paint’s vibe
What This Role Is Not:
* You will not be responsible for scheduling posts, managing accounts, or day to day social media management.
* This is not an assistant position, no painting skills required
What We’re Looking For:
* Must have reliable transportation to and from events
* Knowledge of social media platforms and what performs well visually
* Basic to intermediate video editing skills (editing short form content is a must)
* Comfortable taking photos and videos at live events
* Reliable, communicative, and able to work independently
* Flexible availability (mostly event based scheduling)
Hours + Pay:
* Variable hours depending on events and content needs
* Very part time - estimated 5-10 hours per month (increased schedule over time if desired)
* Compensation is paid per event and per completed video/project
Equipment: Applicants should have a reliable smartphone capable of capturing quality photo/video content for social media. Professional camera equipment is not required.
