Our Seattle office team headed out to the Bellwether Housing Prisma jobsite in Redmond today for a tour and an up-close look at the work taking shape. The project will bring 328 affordable homes to the heart of Redmond, along with ground-floor commercial and community space, all just steps from light rail.

It was great to walk the site, hear directly from our project team about the work underway, and see how much has changed since construction began earlier this year.

A big thank you to our Prisma team, Andrew, Tanner, Dean, Nick, Quinn, Matt, and Hayden, for taking the time to show us around and share all the exciting progress happening on site. We’re looking forward to watching this community continue to take shape!

Incredible progress, thoughtful details, and exceptional craftsmanship are coming together at Mariposa Village in Hood River.

This 130-home affordable housing community for Community Development Partners and Columbia Cascade Housing Corp is a testament to what’s possible when a client’s vision, thoughtful design, and skilled construction come together. We’re grateful to CDP and CCHC for their leadership and commitment to creating a community that will provide high-quality homes for families, seniors, and local workers for generations to come.

Designed by Holst, Mariposa Village is beautifully integrated into its Hood River setting, with sweeping Gorge views, welcoming indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, community trails, protected wetlands, and a public park. Throughout the project, the care is evident in the details, from the precision of the exterior finishes and building transitions to the craftsmanship shaping the spaces residents will soon call home.

A huge thank you to our Walsh team of Brian Johnson, Kent Usher, Ben Bechdolt, Carlos Solano Monterroza, Hunter Lundmark, and Sara Schubertand to the talented trade partners and craftspeople whose skill, attention to detail, and pride in their work can be seen throughout the site.

We’re proud to build alongside an incredible team and honored to help bring CDP and CCHC’s vision for Mariposa Village to life.

The new Schnitzer Center at Catlin Gabel School is coming to life through the incredible collaboration of Catlin Gabel, Opsis Architecture, Walsh Construction Co., and the many donors, educators, students, families, and community partners who helped make this vision possible.

This innovative 36,000 SF, mass timber facility will bring together athletics, wellness, dining, learning, and community spaces under one roof, creating a welcoming hub for connection, growth, and belonging for generations of students to come.

We're proud to be part of a project that reflects the power of partnership and a shared commitment to student wellness, education, and community.

Many thanks to our Walsh team of Aaron Elliott, Patti M Miles, Hunter Rains, Hayden Doud, Micah Gibson, Monica Vilay and Megan Smith for their dedication and hard work on this community-focused project!

Congratulations to the Urban League of Portland and Northwest Housing Alternatives on the ribbon cutting for M. Carter Commons!

This 62-unit affordable apartment community for seniors in North Portland is the culmination of more than six years of vision, persistence, and partnership. Named for Oregon's first Black female legislator, Margaret Louise Carter, the project is a fitting tribute to a lifetime of community advocacy, and it was an honor to celebrate alongside her at the opening.

M. Carter Commons is a powerful example of what's possible when public, private, and nonprofit partners align around a shared, community-first purpose. Projects like this take years of coordination, complex financing, and a lot of hands working toward the same goal. Delivering M. Carter Commons on time and on budget, in a way that truly serves the community it was built for, is a testament to everyone involved.

Huge congratulations to: Urban League of Portland and Northwest Housing Alternatives, whose deep roots in community engagement and culturally responsive services shaped this project from day one. NHA's lead developer Mary Bradshaw, and the leadership of Nkenge Harmon Johnson and Trell Anderson, whose trust and shared decision-making made this partnership work. Congratulations to Salazar Architect Inc. for design that will serve residents well for generations and for the incredible collaboration throughout. And a huge thank you to our own Walsh Construction / O'Neill-Walsh Community Builders team — Brian Layman, Lee Santoyo, Ali O'Neill, Maurice Rahming, Jared Holm, and Monica Vilay — for navigating a tight urban site next to active MAX light rail with precision, care, and deep expertise

Many thanks to the many funding partners who built the capital stack that made this possible — including the Metro Affordable Housing Bond, Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund, the Metro Transit-Oriented Development program, and the Portland Housing Bureau — along with Kaiser Permanente for donating the land

Proud to have played a part in bringing this vision to life. Welcome home to the residents of M. Carter Commons!

Construction is officially underway at Trailhead Apartments in Issaquah! 🏗️

Walsh recently joined King County Housing Authority, Weber Thompson, community leaders, and project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of this new eight-story affordable housing community.

Once complete, Trailhead will provide 159 homes for individuals and families earning up to 40% and 60% of Issaquah’s Area Median Income (AMI). The project also includes shared living options operated by Life Enrichment Options and a 10,000-square-foot Opportunity Center that will connect residents with programs, support, and community resources.

Located near transit and designed with welcoming outdoor spaces, Trailhead will contribute to a more connected and accessible neighborhood for its future residents.

We’re excited to bring this project to life with our Walsh team: Joe Grim, Nathan Connaway, Matt Holcom, Les Baker, Jacob Young, Parker Kaech, and Marwa Zahid. 💚
